John Abraham announces new release date of his film The Diplomat; shares social media post

Amid excitement over movies that have been announced and are being anticipated for a while, John Abraham has shared an interesting surprise with fans. The actor-producer has announced his next film after Vedaa, where he will be seen as the power-packed action star yet again. Titled The Diplomat, the film was announced a couple of years ago, in association with the production house T-Series. While it was slated to release last year, the new release date has been locked by the makers, which is on January 17.

While the actor is hardly active on social media, fans were excited to see the actor share a rare post, which was related to his next film The Diplomat. Looking suave in a well-suited avatar in this first look poster, it seems that the film will fall in the lines of his recent geo-political dramas like Madras Cafe, Parmanu, and Batla House. Sharing about it on Instagram, the actor captioned the photo saying, “Honored to bring this story of courage and diplomacy to life.” Inspired by a true story that shook the nation, the film is expected to showcase a gripping tale of power, patriotism.

The actor also announces the release date

In the post, the actor also shared the release date i.e. March 7, 2025. Talking more about The Diplomat, John will be stepping into the shoes of a high-ranking government official as he promises to take audiences on an edge-of-the-seat journey filled with intense drama and high-octane moments. Directed by the acclaimed Shivam Nair and written by Ritesh Shah, the film is produced by T-Series, Bhushan Kumar & Krishan Kumar; John Abraham of JA Entertainment; Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl of Wakaoo Films, Sameer Dixit and Jatish Varma of Fortune Pictures, Rakesh Dang of Seeta Films.

Apart from this, John Abraham also has the film Tehran in the pipeline where he will be sharing screen space with Manushi Chhillar.

Nikkhil Advani rules out Kal Ho Naa Ho sequel; says, “Shah Rukh Khan embodies…. Not a single person can do it”

Nikkhil Advani’s beloved film Kal Ho Naa Ho was re-released in theatres last year, allowing fans to experience the charm of Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Preity Zinta once again. The movie's overwhelming reception sparked speculation and excitement about a potential sequel. Nikkhil Advani recently discussed this possibility in a conversation with Mukesh Chhabra for Mashable.

When asked about recasting Kal Ho Naa Ho, Nikkhil Advani firmly stated, “You can’t make a new cast. Why would you want to? Shah Rukh is Shah Rukh. It doesn’t matter if they still look the same… Shah Rukh Khan embodies…. Not a single person can do it.”

The filmmaker also confirmed that a sequel is not being planned and expressed his belief that Kal Ho Naa Ho 2 should not be made. He explained, “Kyu karoge aap? Log aake mujhe bol rahe hain make a part two. Abhi it re-released right? Films I’ve done… Kal Ho Naa Ho re-released, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham re-released, Karan Arjun re-released. This is incredible, aisa hota nahi hai."

Kal Ho Naa Ho premiered on November 28, 2003. The film featured Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Preity Zinta, Jaya Bachchan, Sushma Seth, Reema Lagoo, and others. Produced by Yash Johar under the Dharma Productions banner, the film’s music was composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

It has been years since Kal Ho Naa Ho first hit theatres, but it was recently re-released on a limited number of screens across the country. Fans filled the theatres, sharing clips and videos of the film's iconic scenes and tracks. The romantic drama was both a critical success and a box-office hit when it originally released.

While fans won’t see Shah Rukh Khan in a Kal Ho Naa Ho sequel, he will soon star in King, where he is set to play a mafia boss. Reports suggest that his daughter, Suhana Khan, will feature as the parallel lead, with Shah Rukh's character serving as a mentor to Suhana's character.

EXCLUSIVE: Trailer of Shahid Kapoor-starrer Deva to be unveiled on January 21; trailer launch event not yet confirmed

Shahid Kapoor began 2024 with a bang with Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, which was the first hit of last year. He hopes to repeat last year’s magic in 2025 with Deva. The teaser of the film was unveiled on January 5 and caught attention. The song ‘Bhasad Macha’ also managed to impress movie buffs. And now, the makers are all set to launch the trailer of the film. Yesterday, Shahid Kapoor posted a rugged picture on his social media account with the caption, ‘Trailer agle hafte’, indicating that the much-awaited promo will be out next week.

Bollywood Hungama has learned the exact date of the trailer release. A source told us, “Deva’s trailer will be out on Tuesday, January 21. The teaser of Deva and ‘Bhasad Macha’ introduced the world of the film and the massy avatar of Shahid Kapoor. The trailer will give an idea about the plot of the film and will also highlight the other actors, including Pooja Hegde, Pavail Gulati and others.”

When asked if there would be a trailer launch, the source didn’t have knowledge about it. But he said, “The makers are looking at it and a clearer picture will emerge in a day or two. An event was held to launch the teaser at Bandra Fort but no questions were taken by the media. At the trailer launch, this can be arranged and along with Shahid, Pooja Hegde and others can also grace the event and interact with the journalists.”

Deva is produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Zee Studios and is all set to release on January 31. It marks the Bollywood debut of Malayalam director Rosshan Andrrews. Meanwhile, there were speculations that Deva is a remake of the 2013 Malayalam film Mumbai Police, which is also directed by Rosshan Andrrews. Yesterday, Bollywood Hungama reported that there are murmurs that Deva might be inspired by Mumbai Mirror (2013), starring Sachiin Joshi.

Panorama Studios aims to create horror universe with Shaitaan sequel and Turkish film Dabbe remake: Report

Panorama Studios received much appreciation from audience as they presented a new twist to horror genre with Shaitaan (2024) starring Ajay Devgn, Jyotika, and R Madhavan. While it was a remake of the Gujarati horror drama Vash (2023), the film, despite the stupendous success of the original, continued to receive love from audience for its powerful performances. Now reports suggest that the makers are aiming at creating it in the form of a franchise which seems to be the flavor of the season.

Shaitaan sequel in works?

Followed by the success of the Ajay Devgn starrer, Panorama Studios reportedly aims at creating a franchise of sorts and it is being said that the plan is already in motion. It has been learnt that the makers have already kicked off work on the sequel to the horror drama. Journalist Rahul Raut shared the update on social media platform X aka Twitter saying, “The @AbhishekPathakk company also plans to turn #AjayDevgn's #Shaitaan into a franchise with its TWO SEQUELS already in the works.” However, details of the storyline and whether the cast will be a part of it is yet to be revealed.

Panorama Studios plan to remake Turkish horror drama Dabbe

In the same tweet, it was also being said that the production house has purchased the rights of Turkish horror film Dabbe and is planning to remake the same in Hindi. While the film released in 2006, it was followed by several other horror dramas under the same title as a series. The other films under the title includes Dabbe 2, Dabbe: Demon Possession, Dabbe: Curse of the Jinn, Dabbe 5: Zehr-i-Cin, and Dabbe 6 with the final instalment releasing in 2015.

Kangana Ranaut starrer Emergency gets banned in Bangladesh, ahead of its release

Kangana Ranaut starrer Emergency which has finally received the green signal for release, after a long battle continue to face challenges in other countries. The film, that revolves around the dark period of emergency in the 70s, during the reign of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, we hear, will not see the light of day in Bangladesh. Sources close to the film have revealed that some of the key factors that have led to this decision include the ongoing issues between India and Bangladesh as well as the portrayal of the assassination of former PM of Bangladesh, Shaikh Mujibir Rehman.

Sources reveal that the current political scenario has impacted the film’s release

A source was quoted in IANS saying, “The decision to halt the screening of Emergency in Bangladesh is tied to the current strained relations between India and Bangladesh. The ban is less about the content of the film and more about the ongoing political dynamics between the two nations."

Meanwhile, another factor that seems to have played a role in this ban is the assassination of Shaikh Mujibir Rehman who is regarded as the Father of Bangladesh, since he played a key role in the separation of Bangladesh from Pakistan. We hear that the film showcases his murder by a group of Bangladeshi extremists that has also further impacted the release.

Despite being asked by the US Government who were showcasing their support towards Pakistan at the time when a portion of the country demanded a separate nation, India showcased support. Indira Gandhi intervened and supported East Pakistan to create a separation nation of Bangladesh. This led to a war between India and Pakistan in 1971. Followed by the same, a state of Emergency was declared by her for a span of 21 months from 1975 to 1977 citing internal and external threats to the country.

Also starring Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman and Satish Kaushik in pivotal roles, Emergency is a political thriller directed by Kangana Ranaut herself. Backed by Zee Studios, the film has been scheduled to release in theatres on January 17.

With nine Filmfare awards to its credit Kaho Na…Pyar Hai became the second- largest Filmfare award winner after Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge which had won ten Filmfare trophies. Rakesh Roshan felt vindicated. While his earlier films won awards none had gone to him in the capacity of a director.

Recalls Rakesh Roshan, “When a film is rewarded and awarded it definitely gives one a huge high. Sometimes a film does exceptionally well at the box office. But it doesn’t win any awards. Then again, there are award-winning films which aren’t successful at the box office. Kaho Na…Pyar Hai did both. It became a hit and got awards. But to be honest, I didn’t expect so many awards. I think for three members of the same family (Rakesh Roshan, his brother Rajesh Roshan and son Hrithik) to win awards for the same film is unprecedented.

While other films featuring protagonists in a double role had been consistently flopping, two Hrithiks in Kaho Na…Pyar Hai seemed to please audiences immensely.

Rakesh Roshan explains why. “This was a double role with a difference. The two Hrithiks were never together. When one dies the other appears. So, in a way the two characters formed a complete whole. In most films featuring double roles one is a good and the other a bad guy. In this case both the Hrithiks were shown as decent human beings with different attitudes to life. We planned the film in the way it was presented with the girl Ameesha Patel gradually coming to love the person whom her dead boyfriend resembles although she insists, she can never forget her first love. It’s the crisis in the girl’s life that brings her close to her dead love’s lookalike.”

The filmmaker remembers the moment he decided to cast his son Hrithik in Kaho Na…Pyar Hai. “On the morning when I decided on this story Hrithik was sitting next to me. Since the story required a new face we decided then and there that Hrithik would do it. Contrary to rumours, Shah Rukh Khan was never considered for Kaho Na…Pyar Hai. He was in the running for another film that I was planning to make at that time. If I had made that film Hrithik would have made his debut a couple of years down the line. It was fate, I guess.”

Soon after Kaho Na…Pyar Hai was declared a blockbuster Rakesh Roshan was shot at by the underworld which claimed he had promised that Hrithik would do a film for them. “I never gave any indication that Hrithik could do a film for them. I kept putting them off saying Hrithik had no dates, which in any case, was the truth. They then asked me to take dates away from other producers and give it to them. This again, I refused to do. Once I had committed my son’s dates elsewhere, I refused to give into arm twisting tactics. I never gave in. With the kind of tension and fear that some of us had to bear, we couldn’t do anything creative, let alone make a film.”

BREAKING: Hrithik Roshan reveals that he is all set to shoot the ENERGETIC dance number with Jr NTR for War 2: "I hope my leg stays strong"

Hrithik Roshan is on a roll right now. His debut film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai was re-released in cinemas on January 10, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the blockbuster. January 10 also happened to be his birthday. A day before, on January 9, a special screening of the film was organized by Radio Nasha where Hrithik interacted with his fans like never before.

Before the screening, held at a multiplex in Mumbai, Hrithik Roshan quipped, “I am here not to celebrate the film. I hoped that no one would watch the film again because pol kabhi bhi khul sakti hai, even 25 years later! I am here for you guys. I want to celebrate you and your love.”

The host asked if it was true that he was not prepared for his debut film. Hrithik Roshan replied, “I am never prepared for anything! I have to work very hard. It was a shock when my dad (Rakesh Roshan) was making this film with me. He was discussing a story which was supposedly for some actor or some star. (I assumed that) it was for Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan or Aamir Khan. Halfway through the narration, I started to complain that ‘Papa, this is not going to suit all these stars. I have seen them do all of this in their initial films’. He replied, ‘Shut up, I am making this film with you’! Hence, yes, it was a bit of a shock.”

Hrithik Roshan continued, “I quietly went to my room. I didn’t know what to do. He came behind me and asked ‘What happened?’. I said, ‘Nothing’. He said, ‘Be ready in 4 months’. He replied, ‘Ok then. 6 months’! That’s how it started.”

The host then played a ‘this or that’ game with Hrithik and the fans, mentioning different films of the star. When she asked ‘Dhoom 2 or War’, the audience was left divided. Hrithik Roshan answered, “That is difficult as War 2 is coming up now. I am preparing for the big dance number now. I hope my leg stays strong! In that context, let’s choose War as I have got to be ready for that dance number.”

Bollywood Hungama was the first one to reveal way back in April 2024 that Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR will feature in ‘Jai Jai Shivshankar’ meets ‘Naatu Naatu’ out-and-out massy dance song in War 2. Composed by Pritam, it’s said to be one of the highlights of the film.”

When asked ‘Bang Bang or Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’, the fans chose the latter. On this, Hrithik said, “I agree. It’s a forever film. That is a film I’ll be proud of for life. I don’t think that film will age.” A female admirer shouted ‘Part 2 chahiye’ and the fans agreed with her.

Hrithik Roshan, meanwhile, was overwhelmed by the adulation from the fans. When the host mentioned ’25 years of Hrithik Roshan’, he corrected her, “25 years of love. If you are going to celebrate me, I am going to exit!”

EXCLUSIVE: Satya's special screening to be held in Mumbai on January 15 as part of its re-release celebrations; Manoj Bajpayee, Urmila Matondkar, Ram Gopal Varma and others expected

Bollywood Hungama was the first one to report in December 2024 that Ram Gopal Varma’s cult flick Satya (1998) is all set to re-release on January 17. Now Bollywood Hungama has learned that a special screening of the film will be held to celebrate its re-release. Popular radio station, Radio Nasha, has taken the initiative to organize the screening on Wednesday, January 15, at a multiplex in Mumbai.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “As it happens for Nasha Premiere Nights, the screening will be graced by the cast and crew of the film. They’ll go down memory lane and speak about the film, memories of shooting it, etc. A lot of trivia, which has never come out before, is expected to be divulged by the team members of Satya. However, unlike other Nasha Premiere Nights events, the screening will take place first followed by the Q-and-A with the cast and crew. Usually, it’s the other way round.”

When asked who would be present at the screening, the source replied, “Ram Gopal Varma has confirmed his presence. The actors of the film like Manoj Bajpayee, Saurabh Shukla, Shefali Shah, Urmila Matondkar, etc. are also expected.” Satya had unforgettable music by Vishal Bhardwaj. The lyrics were penned by Gulzar and it remains to be seen if the duo and also the lead actor Chakravarthy along with writer Anurag Kashyap also make it to Satya’s re-release premiere.

The source further said, “The premiere is expected to become a talking point as all of them probably never came together. Some of them did when the film completed 25 years in 2023 but this one is expected to be bigger. Also, lucky fans will get a chance to watch the film ahead of its re-release and in the presence of these stalwarts.”

Satya was the story of a man who comes to Mumbai looking for a job and gets drawn into the underworld. The film was loved for its realistic treatment, dialogues, songs and performances. Manoj Bajpayee's portrayal of Bhiku Mhatre made him an actor to watch out for.

Sources claim that the Baby John actress is the frontrunner in the race

A Mid-day report opened up about this latest development in the Shaktimaan-inspired film as it reportedly quoted a source saying, “While discussions are still ongoing, the potential pairing of Wamiqa and Ranveer in Basil’s film would bring a fresh dynamic to a project that’s been in development for five years”. It is being said that the film is currently in the pre-production stage and that Basil Joseph has been holding multiple meetings with Ranveer to discuss the project. According to these reports, the film’s script too is underway. “Once the script is locked and schedules are finalized, the casting will be confirmed," asserted the source.

About Shaktimaan – the film

The film has been sparking several rumours ever since its inception. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala in association with Sony Pictures India, the film is expected to bring back the nostalgic value of the 90s superhero. However, in an earlier report, Mukesh Khanna, who originally played the character in the television series and gained love and immense acceptance from audiences, have insisted that Singh will not be a part of it.

Wamiqa Gabbi, who is basking in the rave reviews that came her way for her character of a teacher and undercover cop in Baby John, has kicked off the shoot of a romantic comedy entertainer in Goa titled Dil Ka Darwaza Khol Na Darling, directed by Vikas Bahl and starring Siddhant Chaturvedi as well as Jaya Bachchan. She was quoted saying, "He suffered a brain stroke, not a heart attack. He had gone to attend a film screening and started feeling unwell around 8 pm. He was immediately admitted to the hospital”. Earlier reports suggested that the actor started vomiting while watching a Gujarati film titled Mon Tane Naa Samjhaye at PVR Icon in Andheri at 9 pm, followed by which he was immediately rushed to the hospital in a wheelchair. According to reports, the actor is currently being treated for the same but there has been no update on his condition.

Alaya F to join Shanaya Kapoor in SOTY 3?

With Student Of The Year giving us some of the biggest stars from our generation which included Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra, the second instalment SOTY 2 introduced us to Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria. "With Amar Kaushik at the helm, Maddock was bullish on casting Shah Rukh Khan for Chamunda with Alia Bhatt. But things didn't pan out as expected," a source informed Bollywood Hungama.

The source added, "Shah Rukh Khan didn't want to enter an already established universe and rather start a new world with Maddock and Amar Kaushik. He has asked the duo to come to him with something fresh and explore a genre never done before. The two are now exploring new names for Chamunda and hoping to team up with Shah Rukh Khan in a couple of years on something fresh."

The source also informs us that Chamunda was the first of the many subjects offered by Dinesh Vijan to SRK, but things didn't align.

EXCLUSIVE: S S Rajamouli unveils India’s FIRST Dolby certified post-production facility for cinema and home at Nagarjuna’s Annapurna Studios

The iconic Annapurna Studios has scripted history again by launching India’s first Dolby certified post-production facility for cinema and home, which was unveiled by the globally renowned filmmaker S S Rajamouli in the presence of the celebrated actor Nagarjuna Akkineni, Vice Chairman of Annapurna Studios.

Launched in collaboration with Dolby, the state-of-the-art facility aims to redefine the audio-visual standards of Indian filmmaking, ensuring cinematic experiences that meet global benchmarks.

Interestingly, Rajamouli’s Academy-award-winning RRR (2022) — special footage of which was also played at the grand event — was the first-ever Indian film to be released in Dolby Cinema, making this a landmark moment for the Indian film industry.

Speaking at the momentous occasion held at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, S S Rajamouli shared, "During the time of RRR, when we wanted to grade the film in Dolby Vision, we had to travel all the way to Germany. It was a bit disheartening that I couldn’t experience my film in Dolby Vision within my own country. But today, I’m thrilled to see a Dolby Vision grading facility right here at Annapurna Studios.”

Rajamouli added, "Even more exciting is the fact that, by the time my next film releases, there will be multiple Dolby Cinemas across India. Watching a film in Dolby Vision is an entirely different experience—the crystal-clear clarity and the way it enhances the nuances of every frame take storytelling to a whole new level. I can’t wait for audiences to experience it!”

Deva: Shahid Kapoor, Pooja Hegde to ignite Dubai’s ILT20 with their new song ‘Bhasad Macha’

Sharing about the recent development, a source close to the film revealed, “Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde are ready to set the stage ablaze at the ILT20 opening ceremony in Dubai on January 12, where they will perform ‘Bhasad Macha’ in front of a massive crowd.”  The source also added how the song is going to create madness among audiences in Dubai, saying, “With Shahid’s electrifying swag and the duo’s breathtaking dance moves, it’s going to be a spectacle to remember. Dubai is about to experience pure ‘bhasad’ (chaos) - this performance will have the audience on their feet and leave everyone buzzing with excitement just days ahead of the film’s release.” The song is composed and sung by Vishal Mishra along with Mika Singh, Jyotica Tangri, Shreyas Sagvekar, Baby Jean with lyrics written by Raj Shekhar.

The source opened up about the song and added, “After teasing audiences with two posters and a teaser that became an instant sensation, the makers are gearing up to release their first song, ‘Bhasad Macha’. The song teaser will drop on January 10, followed by the full track on the 11th. This high-energy number is packed with raw beats and an electrifying vibe.”

Nora Fatehi reacts to LA fire as she is ‘forced to evacuate her premises’

The news of Pacific Palisades wildfire has left the residents of Los Angeles in jeopardy with many celebrities taking to social media to confess about losing their homes to the disaster. The latest name to join the list is Nora Fatehi who shared the impact of the wildfire further revealing that she is currently in the city and that she is also expected to catch a flight.

The dancer-actress took to her social media handle on Instagram to share a video on her story, wherein she opened up about the Pacific Palisades wildfire and said, “I am in LA and the wildfires are crazy. I have never seen anything like that.” Also, speaking about the evacuation, she continued, “This is insane, we just got an evacuation order five minutes ago. So I quickly packed all my stuff and I am evacuating out of here. I am gonna go near the airport and chill there because I have a flight today and I really hope I can catch it." "I hope it doesn't get cancelled because this s**t is scary. I am going to keep you guys updated. I hope people are safe, I have never seen anything before like this,” she concluded as she signed off.

In a separate story, the actress also provided a glimpse of LA which is currently under Emergency owing to the situation. In the note, Nora wrote, "The LA fires are crazy right now... hope everyone is okay".

Priyanka Chopra also reveals about the fire

Earlier on Wednesday night, Priyanka Chopra shared a series of posts expressing her concern towards the co-residents of LA and sending across her prayers and best wishes to the victims of the natural disaster. In a recent story, she also saluted the work of firefighters and first responders who are attempting their best to control the disaster. “A huge shoutout to the incredibly brave first responders. Thank you for working tirelessly overnight and continuing to help families affected,” she wrote.

Film producer, journalist, poet Pritish Nandy passes away at 73

Eminent journalist, poet, writer and film producer Pritish Nandy passed away today in Mumbai at the age of 73. The news of his death was confirmed by his son and filmmaker Kushan Nandy to Screen. However, there is no clarity on the cause of his death as of yet.

Some of the notable films produced by Nandy include, Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi (2001), Kaante (2002), Jhankaar Beats (2003), Chameli (2003), Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi (2003), Pyaar Ke Side Effects (2006), Shaadi Ke Side Effects (2014), etc. In recent years, he also dabbled into the web medium with shows like Four More Shots Please and Modern Love Mumbai.

Veteran actor Anupam Kher wrote a long condolence message on social media for Nandy after the news came out. Sharing the deceased’s picture from his younger days, Kher wrote, “Deeply deeply saddened and shocked to know about the demise of one of my dearest and closest friends #PritishNandy! Amazing poet, writer, filmmaker and a brave and unique editor/journalist! He was my support system and a great source of strength in my initial days in Mumbai. We shared lots of things in common. He was also one of the most fearless people I had come across. Always Larger than life. I learnt so many things from him.”

EXCLUSIVE: Karan Johar expands Dharma Productions; enters film distribution business

Karan Johar took a significant step in late 2024 by teaming up with Adar Poonawalla. The CEO of the Serum Institute of India picked up a 50% stake in Dharma Productions and Dharmatic Entertainment, for Rs 1000 crores and it was one of the major talking points of last year. And after this development, KJo is all set to take his business one level up - he’s all set to enter the film distribution business.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Until now, Dharma Productions had only produced films while a studio or major distributor would come on board to release these movies in cinemas. But now, Karan wants Dharma to be a complete studio, which would also release films in cinemas.”

The source continued, “Bhumika Tewari, who used to head distribution at Zee Studios, has joined Dharma Productions. She’ll be in charge of distributing in-house Dharma films. Karan has worked with her in the past for films made by Dharma and Zee like Good Newwz (2019), Kesari (2019) etc. She also has years of experience and is considered a big name in the distribution circuit. She has grand plans to ensure that films of Dharma Productions get the best possible release in cinemas across the country.”

An industry insider commented, “Karan Johar is following in the footsteps of Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films (YRF). They also have a distribution wing; in fact, YRF has made a huge name for themselves not just for producing but also distributing films. KJo wants to follow suit. It was on his mind for many years and now with Adar Poonawalla’s support, he’s finally realizing his dream.”

Meanwhile, the source also revealed, “Just like YRF also distributes films made by other banners, Dharma’s distribution wing is also expected to do the same.” However, it’s not clear when that would happen. Also, the sources are not aware if Dharma would distribute films only in India and whether they’d also have presence Overseas.

On the film front, Karan Johar is expected to begin 2025 with Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri followed by an untitled period legal drama, starring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday.

Salman Khan increases security 8 months after attack as the actor installs bulletproof glass

After the shocking firing incident outside the famous Galaxy Apartments in Bandra where Salman Khan resides, a recent renovation at the superstar’s residence has grabbed attention from many. Eight months after the bullet shots were fired, Khan is expected to have given his home a security upgrade by installing bulletproof glasses on the windows. This comes after the murder of famous politician Baba Siddiqui, who shared close relations with Khan and his family.

Salman Khan increases massive security around his home

The Bollywood superstar has added bulletproof glasses on his balcony where he often comes to greet his fans. Apart from that, we hear that the surroundings of the Galaxy apartment too have undergone some minor changes in terms of security. It has been reported that some hi-tech equipment including an upgraded CCTV system has been installed around the actor’s home in order to understand any mysterious activity around the residence, and thus prevent any more attacks on the superstar.

Attacks on Salman Khan

It is a known fact that Khan has been receiving threats which seem to have fueled up further in the past few years with anonymous notes also being sent to the actor’s father and renowned writer Salim Khan. Adding to it, Salman’s residence was attacked in April by two bikers who fired gunshots at his residence. While fortunately there were no casualties in the firing, the actor’s personal security was increased by the Mumbai police, with the Chief Minister also assuring complete protection for Khan and his family. In fact, the events also prompted the actor to apply for weapon’s license in order to ensure the safety of his loved ones.

For the unversed, the attacks have been linked to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi who has been threatening Khan ever since the latter’s name was involved in the blackbuck case. Adding fuel to the fire, Bishnoi’s brother Anmol too have been detained in the US in relation to ongoing case of Baba Siddiqui’s murder.

Sharing the announcement with a menacing poster of Pushparaj, the caption on the post read, “#Pushpa2TheRule RELOADED VERSION with 20 minutes of added footage will play in cinemas from 11th January. Pushpa franchise traces the journey of small-time sandalwood smuggler Pushparaj who goes on to become one of the most feared gangsters. The movie features Rashmika Mandanna as his wife Srivalli and the second instalment Pushpa 2 – The Rule stars Fahadh Faasil as the main antagonist, SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, who is out to seek revenge from Pushparaj for humiliating him. While the first instalment received immense love with Allu Arjun also becoming the first Telugu star to win a National Film Award, the second instalment has created history at the box office.

Meanwhile, the makers have also hinted at a third instalment being in the pipeline in the finale of Pushpa 2. Titled Pushpa 3 – The Rampage, the actioner too will be directed by filmmaker Sukumar.

A source close to the actor told us, “Nawaz will begin shooting for his next project on January 11, with a 45-day schedule ahead. He is completely packed this year as he will be having back-to-back film shoots. He is also shooting for an exciting project.”

Some time back, Nawaz spoke about how he wants his children to appreciate arts. He said in an interview with ANI, “Art is not a regular thing, you have to develop a taste for it. I have been pushing my kids to appreciate and learn about art. My daughter is 14 years old, and she is already doing Shakespeare workshops in London. From a very early age, I used to put hardcore pressure on them to decide what they wanted to see, otherwise, they’d get lost because there was so much meaningless content everywhere, so you’d have to be selective about what you want to watch and not watch.”

Hansika Motwani and family face allegations from her sister-in-law Muskan Nancy James; latter files FIR against them

Muskan Nancy James, best known for her role in the television series Mata Ki Chowki, has made serious allegations against her husband Prashant Motwani, mother-in-law Mona Motwani, and sister-in-law Hansika Motwani.  The actress has filed an FIR against the Motwanis accusing them of property-related fraudulent activities and has also accused her husband Prashant of domestic violence.

Muskan Nancy James reveals that she suffered Bell’s Palsy because of Motwanis

Muskan Nancy James has reportedly filed a case against Motwanis at the Amboli Police Station on December 18 wherein she has also complained that she was diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy due to constant abuse she allegedly suffered at the hands of her husband Prashant. Reports suggest that the actress has reported the case under multiple sections that includes section 498-A, 323, 504, 506, and 34 of BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita).

In the report, Muskan has also revealed that her in-laws demanded expensive gifts from her and her family along with complaints that her mother-in-law Mona and sister-in-law Hansika interfered in her marriage with Prashanth way too much. In an interaction with ETimes, although Muskaan confirmed that she has filed a complaint, she refrained from revealing details. "I have sought legal assistance now. At this point, I am not at liberty to comment further,” she was quoted saying.

Actress Muskan tied the knot with entrepreneur Prashant Motwani in the year 2020 in an intimate ceremony. Salman Khan to begin shooting for Sikandar’s last schedule from January 10 in Mumbai: Report

Abhijeet Bhattacharya faces legal action for calling Mahatma Gandhi “Father of Pakistan”, Pune lawyer demands written apology: Reports

A Pune-based lawyer, Asim Sarode, has issued a legal notice to singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya for his controversial remark describing Mahatma Gandhi as the "Father of Pakistan." The comment, made during a podcast interview, has sparked outrage, with Sarode threatening legal action unless Bhattacharya issues a written apology. The lawyer claims the statement disrespects Gandhi’s legacy and misrepresents historical facts.

The Controversial Statement In the podcast, Abhijeet Bhattacharya compared music composer RD Burman to Gandhi, saying, "Like Mahatma Gandhi was the father of the nation, RD Burman was the father of the nation in the world of music." He went on to assert, "Mahatma Gandhi was the father of the nation for Pakistan and not India." Lawyer's Objections and Gandhi’s Legacy The legal notice, filed on behalf of Manish Deshpande and other law students, accuses Bhattacharya of crossing the line with his remarks. Highlighting Gandhi’s contributions, Sarode stated, “Gandhi worked tirelessly for Hindu-Muslim unity and opposed partition vehemently, saying, ‘To accept partition, it will be over my dead body.’” The lawyer also stated Gandhi’s global recognition, pointing out that over 150 countries have issued postal stamps in his honor.

The notice demands that Bhattacharya submit a written apology for his comments, warning of criminal prosecution if he fails to comply. Sarode believes the singer’s statements undermine Gandhi’s work and promote misinformation. “Such remarks can hurt sentiments and mislead people,” the notice reads.

As of now, the singer has not issued any public statement addressing the legal notice.
